Ahoy Townspeople #006

Such a hectic bi-week (bi-weeks?). Picked up an old hobby, cross-stitching. Get scratched and bitten by a stray cat and got rabies and tetanus shots. Bought a bunch of electronic components for the motor and the… Drum roll please… DIY headphones. More on that later.

• Bought a design off of Etsy for cross-stitching then realized that I could just make my own. Here’s the site for later reference.

Miscaellanea

• Bought some glow in the dark filament. Oh boy. :^)

• These fucking Anker Soundcore Q30 headphones are driving me absolutely crazy at this point — pardon my French. I swear they made the plastic out of the most brittle yet soft material imaginable. And don’t get me started on the fake leather pads; they barely last a year before tearing or completely disintegrating on your head. It’s insane.

  The battery life isn’t great either, but I can accept that after two years of constant use. So, I’ve decided to design and 3D print an entirely new assembly from scratch while reusing the circuits. I’ll also mod the BMS circuit to accommodate two 18650 2000 mAh batteries instead of the original 700 mAh lithium polymer battery.

  I’m putting the motor project on hold for now, but I hope this will be worth it. Fuck you, Anker.
