_^01/01/2025 #### Ahoy Townspeople #007 First entry of the year! I hope you had a great New Year's Eve. #### Miscellanea - Started on designing my own headphones. I'm using Onshape. 3D printed a bunch of prototypes already. Hella fun. :^) - I'm thinking of building a **mechanical** 7-segment display that will display the number of searches that was done in one of the apps I've built and update in real time. [This design](https://www.printables.com/model/1112300-3d-printed-electromechanical-7-segment-display) looks and works great but the number of magnets and coils is a bit too much for my taste. On the other hand, [this one](https://www.printables.com/model/171319-mechanical-7-segment-display-simple-and-smooth) is a lot better. I'll try to make the segments a bit more thicker. - I don't want to pay DiagramGPT 12 bucks a month. I'll try to make my own diagram generator with Gemini, PlantUML and Graphviz. I'll share the results in a separate post. - Rock Pi is acting up again. Have to restart it every time I want to update this blog. Works fine except SSH. Can't figure out why, yet. #### Media - Creature Commandos is out. Watched first two episodes. It's... okay. I'll give it a few more episodes. - Started watching WandaVision, not a big fan for now though. I'll give it a few more episodes as well. - Still haven't finished the first season of Silo, will do that soon.
